A Foundation of attention to detail

My background is rooted in the high-pressure world of hospitality, where I spent two decades learning that a business is only as strong as the systems supporting it. I developed my foundational approach to operations at truly canonical places such as Campton Place Hotel, Jardinière, Eleven Madison Park, and The Red Cat. These environments demanded a level of precision and organization that has shaped my professional standards ever since.

The Owner’s Perspective

In 2007, I moved into ownership, co-founding and operating three neighborhood restaurants: Perilla, Kin Shop, and The Marrow.

As an owner, I oversaw the service and beverage programs, operations management, human resources and financial operations for our businesses. I learned firsthand that "the back office" isn't just paperwork—it’s about understanding your business’s financial health. While I took pride in being an excellent manager and operator, I also saw how volatile and demanding the industry can be, and decided it was time for a change.

A New Chapter

When those businesses ran their course, I began working with a wholesale and retail baking business to help manage their operations. While I enjoyed the products and the team, the experience solidified my desire to focus on the financial side of business rather than daily operations management. I focused on overhauling their bookkeeping processes and even though I stepped away from operations, I stayed on to run their finance department. I realized that I loved providing the financial structure that allows a business to thrive. Through their referral, I found my first client, and I’ve been managing the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for a wide variety of businesses ever since.

Peace of Mind

Because I have owned and operated my own small businesses, I know your time is your most valuable asset. You should be able to spend it on what you do best in your business, but you need to have a partner you can trust to handle your daily business finances. I’m here to provide the knowledge, the reliable books, and the "back office" support that allows you to focus on the parts of your business you enjoy most.
